Kiara Daniels joined DADU Homes as a Project Manager in 2021. She is a proud Tacoma native and longtime community advocate. Growing up in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood, she learned the importance of giving back and contributing to a strong community. Kiara graduated from Tacoma Public Schools’ School of the Arts before attending The Evergreen State College, Tacoma Campus, and The Evergreen State College, Olympia Campus, where she earned a Master in Public Administration.
She currently works as the Business and Community Development Coordinator for Spaceworks Tacoma, a program of the Tacoma/Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. There, Kiara leads the Hilltop Business Support to secure space and resources for Black businesses in the Hilltop business district. In addition to her work with the Chamber, Kiara demonstrates her passion for housing, economic justice, and community-centered design through her leadership as a core member of Fab-5, helping to lead the #DesigntheHill Initiative. Last year, Kiara was awarded the City of Tacoma’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Emerging Leader Award for her commitment to service, and she describes all of her work as her love letter to the City.
