Our Commitment to Sustainability
While DADUs are economically beneficial, they also prove to be quite environmentally beneficial. More recently the shift to smaller living has gained popularity, and for good reason. In 2013, the average American home was around 2,600 sq ft, producing approximately 28,000 pounds of CO2 emissions each year. Tiny homes on the other hand, typically range from 100-700 sq ft and reduce carbon emissions by roughly 90%. With CO2 emissions as the leading cause of climate change, DADUs provide a way to reduce these negative impacts.
We firmly believe in the switch to smaller and sustainable living, which is why we are committed to making our build process equally as environmentally-friendly. By using sustainable methods such as a pin foundation, tankless water heater, or buying eco-friendly products, we are able to exceed Washington State’s energy conservation standards year after year.
